Glenville State University’s Fine Arts Department will present its annual MusicFest Concert and Scholarship Fundraiser on Tuesday, October 20th. The event will also feature the induction of the second class of honorees into the Glenville State Fine Arts Department Hall of Fame.

The annual MusicFest event celebrates the talent of GSU students and faculty while raising funds to support scholarships for Fine Arts students. The evening also provides an opportunity for the University and community to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the arts and to Glenville State University’s Fine Arts programs.

This year’s Hall of Fame class includes four distinguished individuals:

James “Jim” Rogers, Professor Emeritus of Art

Charles Scott, Professor Emeritus of Art

Harry Rich, Professor Emeritus of Music

Greg James, GSU alumnus and legendary band director who dedicated more than 50 years to music education

The MusicFest Concert will showcase the musical talents of Glenville State students and provide an evening of entertainment for alumni, families, friends and members of the community. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Bertha Olsen Scholarship fund for Music Majors. 

Additional details regarding the concert, including time, location, admission and scholarship fundraising opportunities, will be announced by the Fine Arts Department.
