LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY COLLECTION ON DISPLAY AT GSC

Glenville, WV--A former Glenville State College administrator is showing off his photography talents on campus. The landscape photo collection, An American Mosaic, by Bruce Flack opened on October 9 in the GSC Fine Arts Gallery. It will be on display through November 14th.

The collection contains photographs of American landscapes with the exception of one photograph from London. Many of the scenes depicted in the collection are from the Mountain State. Flack is a long-time resident of West Virginia, who enjoys working with landscape photography. He resides in Parkersburg but enjoys traveling throughout West Virginia as well as to exotic locations in search of the perfect picture.

Flack is Vice-Chancellor for State Colleges and Director of Academic Affairs for the West Virginia High Education Policy Commission. He is a former professor of history, vice president for academic affairs, and interim president at Glenville State College. Flack holds an A.B. degree from Otterbein College and the M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in history from Ohio State University. He has been active in a number of regional and national higher education initiatives and is currently serving on national councils of the College Board and the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.

Flack’s exhibit at GSC is open to the public Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. as well as one hour before every GSC Fine Arts Center event, and admission is free. A special reception for Flack and his collection will be held on Friday, November 10th, from 3-5 p.m. at the GSC Fine Arts Gallery.
