Glenville State College Students Participate in Research Day at Capitol
Four Glenville State College students gave scientific presentations at the 11th Annual Undergraduate Research Day. The annual event was held on January 30th and is sponsored by the state's Higher Education Policy Commission Division of Science and Research and the West Virginia Department of Education and the Arts.
Create WV Conference to be Held in Glenville and at GSC
Create West Virginia officials say their annual event is coming to Glenville and Glenville State College. Create West Virginia's next annual conference is scheduled from October 25th through October 28th.
Climate Change Seminar Planned at GSC
Glenville State College will be the site of a presentation about climate change on Thursday, March 6th at 6:00 p.m. in the Heflin Administration Building Presidents Auditorium. The presentation, Climate Change – Past, Present, and Future, will be delivered by University of Dayton Physics Professor Dr. Bob Brecha.
Wear Red Day Luncheon Being Planned at GSC
Local residents are invited to join Glenville State College and the American Heart Association for the 11th anniversary celebration of 'Wear Red Day.' The GSC campus will be the site of a free 'Wear Red Day Luncheon on Tuesday, February 25th at 12:00 p.m. in the Mollohan Campus Community Center Ballroom.
GSC Criminal Justice Fraternity Takes First Place at Competition
Students in GSC's Criminal Justice Fraternity Sigma Pi Xi recently won first place honors in the crime scene competition at the annual West Virginia Criminal Justice Educators Association conference. The 14 GSC students formed three teams that competed against nine other teams from area colleges at the two-day conference.
GSC Professor Publishes Research on Online and Traditional Learning
Dr. Sherry Jones has published an article in the California State University Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT) Journal of Online Learning and Teaching (JOLT). The March 2013 issue of JOLT featured her research paper on the learning equity between online and traditional classroom mathematics courses.
