GSC Group Raises Awareness for Student Suicide
Members of the Glenville State College student organization Pioneers for a Cause braved a frosty Monday morning to bring awareness to a somber subject – student suicide. The group covered the campus lawn at Clark Hall with backpacks that included stories of students who had been lost to suicide.
Workshop for K-12 Teachers Planned at GSC
A workshop for K-12 teachers of all disciplines, including both preservice and in-service instructors, will be held at Glenville State College on Friday, November 13 and Saturday, November 14. The workshop will focus on Project Learning Tree (PLT) and Project Water Education for Teachers (WET).
Graduate Returning to GSC for Guest Lecture
Ken Kuhl, Vice President of Event Development at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas and a 1982 Glenville State College graduate, is returning to his alma mater on Friday, November 13 to deliver a presentation about his background, education, and work experience. The presentation will begin at noon in GSC's Mollohan Campus Community Center Ballroom.
Burgess Shale Fossils on topic for GSC Presentation
Glenville State College Associate Professor of Biology Dr. Sara Sawyer will give a presentation entitled 'The Canadian Rockies: A Trek to the Burgess Shale' on Tuesday, November 10 at 5:30 p.m. in room 107 of the Science Hall.
