GSC's May Commencement Ceremony will be Saturday, May 18 at the College's Waco Center

GLENVILLE, WV - The 145th Glenville State College Commencement Ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 18 beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the college’s Waco Center.

The GSC class of 2019 will walk across the graduation stage to receive their degrees in a variety of programs including business, education, land resources, criminal justice, science, music, and more. The grads hail from throughout West Virginia and California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Washington, D.C.

West Virginia Secretary of State Andrew “Mac” Warner will deliver the keynote address to graduates and guests. Secretary Warner, is retired from a career in the U.S. Army where he held a variety of leadership and teaching positions, culminating as the Chief of International Law for the U.S. Army Europe in Heidelberg, Germany. He has been in office as West Virginia’s Secretary of State since January 2017.

In recognition of an ongoing tradition at Glenville State College, alumni who graduated fifty years ago have been invited back to campus to join the current graduates at the ceremony. Members of the class of 1969 will be recognized as “50 Year Graduates” during the event.

As always, graduates are permitted to bring as many guests with them as they like and no tickets are required. The GSC Spirit Shop will be open at the Waco Center with a selection of items for sale before and after the ceremony.
