GLENVILLE, WV - Glenville State University’s Department of Land Resources is hosting its Fall 2026 Seminar Series, featuring students sharing their internship and professional field experiences with classmates, faculty, and the campus community.

The seminar series brings together students from forestry, natural resource management, wildlife management, environmental science, and land surveying and mapping. Presentations highlight internships with organizations such as the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources, West Virginia Division of Forestry, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, West Virginia American Water, and numerous private forestry, engineering, and land surveying firms.

Land surveying students will also share experiences gained with companies including Pathfinder Land Surveying, SAM LLC, Terradon Corporation, Mead & Hunt, Thrasher, and other surveying and engineering firms.

The seminar series provides students an opportunity to reflect on what they learned in the workplace while allowing other students to learn about potential careers, employers, and future internship opportunities. It also demonstrates the important role that experiential learning and partnerships with natural resource agencies and private industry play in preparing Land Resources students for their careers.

The seminar series will begin on Tuesday, September 22, and will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 12:15 to 1:00 p.m. through October 15, except Thursday, October 8, in WC 227–228.
