GSC will also offer a new certificate program in Nonprofit Leadership and Management at the Braxton County Center starting this fall. The first course for the program is Introduction to Nonprofit Organizations (NPLM 101) that will meet on Tuesdays from 4:00-6:50 p.m.

"GSC is one of the only colleges in West Virginia that is qualified by the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance to offer these nonprofit classes, and many local employers look for such training," said Assistant Coordinator of Off-Campus Programming Kathy Gilbert.

Additionally, two scholarships are available to cover most of the costs of enrolling in these courses for residents of Braxton County who are high school graduates. Students are responsible for textbook costs. Persons who have delayed starting their college careers, stay-at-home moms who would now like to start taking college courses, and those who started college but never finished a degree are encouraged to enroll for these classes.
