GSC to hold Day of Giving on November 28
On Tuesday, November 28 Glenville State College will take part in the Day of Giving, a one-day fundraising event, for the first time. Everyone in the Pioneer family is encouraged to participate in Giving Tuesday.
Halftime Heroes Honored at GSC Football Game
Glenville State College President Dr. Tracy Pellett and Vice President for Student Life and Athletics, Rusty Vineyard, honored two individuals through GSC’s ‘Half time Heroes’ initiative during the Pioneer Football game on Saturday, November 4.
Professors Travel to Dublin and London for Study Abroad Discussions
In early October 2017, three Glenville State College faculty members traveled to London, England, and Dublin, Ireland to discuss study abroad opportunities for students at GSC. The trip was a continuation of site visits made by GSC professors over the summer as a part of GSC’s participation in a Study Abroad Capacity Building Grant.

Wayne de Rosset to Serve as Homecoming Parade Marshal
Professor Emeritus Mr. Wayne de Rosset will be serving as parade marshal during GSC’s homecoming parade on Saturday, October 21. Professor de Rosset’s wife Sherry, who is also a GSC retiree, will be accompanying him in the parade.
Changes Announced to GSC's College Advancement Team
After 10 years at the helm, Mr. Dennis Pounds will be departing today as Glenville State College’s Vice President for College Advancement and Executive Director of the GSC Foundation. Pounds had been in the position since 2007.
GSC's Fred Walborn Officiates Wedding for Former Students
When planning for a wedding, there are lot of details to consider – the venue, the cake, guest list, finding a photographer, and more. One of the most important decisions is who will actually perform the marriage ceremony. That was an easy decision for one pair of former Glenville State College students, all they had to do was call up their favorite professor.
