It comes as no surprise that college students are not the most financially secure individuals in society. However, GSC offers plenty of opportunities for the creative classmate looking to impress their Valentine this holiday season. The Phoenix has brainstormed ideas for those who aren't that creative but still want to earn their crushes appreciation.

1) Start early with a sunrise on the hills. Timeanddate.com estimates that the sun will rise at 7:15 a.m. on the morning of February 14th.1

2) Hop over to the Mollohan Cafeteria for a warm brunch. This Valentines Day features eggs, O'Brien potatoes, sausage,  biscuits and gravy. However, if you prefer more traditional lunch foods, the cafeteria will have popcorn shrimp and corndogs. Brunch is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

3) Explore the town this snowy holiday. The downtown area features some scenic views, old buildings, and cheap local joints. Try out some of the local thrift stores or the new juice joint, Glenville Nutrition.

4) Grab an early dinner back at the Mollohan Cafeteria. You can always count on the school cafeteria to give you your daily serving of vegetables. This holiday, the menu will also feature pork chops and rotini. Who doesn't love pasta?

Aramark employees are constantly looking for ways to spruce up the menu for their patrons. Feel free to crack a joke with the hilarious cashiers at the cafeteria register or eaves drop on the dishwashers singing in the back! This Valentine's Day, the cooks prepared a special desert to go with the meal. Below are the warm lava cakes, red velvet cakes, and cupcakes that are making the meal.

5) After dinner, hit the trails - specifically, the Nature Trail. Perhaps, this can prove to be the perfect pathway to your crushes heart - if the practically free food didn't get you there already.

6) Go for a sunrise and sunset. Timeanddate.com estimate that the sun will set at 5:59 p.m. on February 14th.

7) Grab some cheap snacks at the Pioneer Grill and head back to your romantically small dorm room. Perhaps, you can bum Netflix or Hulu off your bestie and play it on your phone or laptop this holiday to impress your date.
