Advising Week

By Kristen Murphy

Registration for summer and fall semester will begin on April 8. To apply for your upcoming semester, you must meet with your advisor, discuss the upcoming schedule, and obtain your PIN. Without the PIN, students won’t be able to apply for classes.

The maximum amount of hours for summer 2019 is 12 and for fall 2019 is 18, but there are opportunities to request to carry extra hours. If you wish to carry extra hours, there is a form that must be signed by your advisor and sent in as soon as possible. Degree Works is set up as an aid to students to look at what courses are still needed for their degrees, it also will give you a percentage of completion for your degree. If Degree Works does not match your program of study, a form for request to declare/change/add a major/minor form needs to be completed with your advisor.

April 15-June 15 is the timespan for applying to graduate in the summer. For December 2019 graduation, the window is March 15- May 30. This form is found on EdNet and is available by going to Student & Financial Aid-Student Records-Apply to Graduate.
