Glenville community members who may need extra support or just someone to talk to. The following resources are available:

  • On-campus counseling staff, Tim Underwood (x 6432 or 304-462-6432) and Kendra Pullen (x 6429 or 304-462-6429) (free to students). Today only, April 12, the counseling center will be open from 4-7 p.m. It is located in the Health and Physical Education Building across the hall from the Lilly Gym.
  • Minne Hamilton Behavioral Health at Waco
  • National Suicide hotline 988 (free and confidential, and can be helpful for concerns about others as well as personal concerns)

In addition, several members of the local clergy have reached out to offer their listening ears and support, including Kenny Fisher (304-517-9932), Bryan Groves (304-904-6334), and Elizabeth Lewis (540-327-6005).

Please take care of yourselves and reach out for help when you need to. Watch out for your friends and offer to help them. If they are showing signs of stress or depression, such as not attending class, not eating, or not participating in regular activities, talk to them and someone on campus who can help them.

The Phoenix invites the Glenville community to reach out to us with ideas for making the campus safer, stronger, and more empathetic. Email us at marjorie.stewart@glenville.edu.
