The Little Kanawha Players will present the play “The Long Christmas Dinner” in the President’s Auditorium on November 10, 11, and 12 at 7 p.m. Written by Thornton Wilder, the play will be directed by Marjorie Stewart. Casting is currently underway.

The play is the 90-year history of the Bayard family, shown through a series of scenes from Christmas dinners. As the family grows and becomes prosperous, the cultural and political changes are mirrored in their experiences. It is played on a simple set, with actors aging through their physical positions as well as minor costume changes.

Provost Gary Morris is the executive producer. Jennifer Wenner will serve as producer, Brian Johnston as assistant director, Katelyn Miller as stage director, and Jonathan Minton as technical director.

Director Stewart says that auditions were well attended and the cast will be announced by September 26.
