Permissions and Copyright

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material.

The Robert F. Kidd (RFK) Library and the Glenville State University (GSU) Archives provide access to material, licensed or otherwise, for which the copyright is not held by Glenville State University. All library users must respect the copyrights of works that are accessible through computers connected to the GSU network. No copyrighted work may be copied, published, disseminated, displayed, performed or played without permission of the copyright holder except in accordance with: (a) a licensed agreement; or (b) fair use such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, or research. Fair use is governed by 17 U.S.C § 107. You are solely responsible for determining the copyright status of any materials you may wish to use, to investigate the owner of the copyright, and to obtain permission for your intended use. In all cases, you must cite the RFK Library and/or GSU Archives as the source and, if a particular material is copyrighted, you must cite all copyright information and comply with all other terms or restrictions that may be applicable to that material.
