2017 GSU Department of Business Advisory Board Members

Justin Brown is the Co-Owner of Aroma of the Andes, a family owned and operated business in Linn, West Virginia. The business has a coffee farm in Supatá, Colombia, where they are actively involved in the growing, hand-picking, and processing of coffee which is utilized in products marketed here in the United States. A percentage of their profits help provide clean drinking water in regions of the Amazon, school supplies for a local elementary school, and food for low income families residing near their farm. He was a Senior Accountant with the firm of Suttle & Stalnaker in Charleston for several years performing audits in multiple industries including non-profit organizations and governmental agencies. Justin holds a BSBA degree from Glenville State College with majors in Accounting, Management & Marketing and a minor in Nonprofit Leadership.

Dustin W. Freshour, CPA, CGMA, is a Senior Associate in the Accounting and Auditing Department of Arnett Carbis Toothman LLP, CPAs & Advisors. He has over five years of accounting and auditing experience with a number of financial institutions, nonprofit, and commercial entities. Dustin holds a BSBA degree with majors in Accounting and Management as well as a minor in Nonprofit Leadership Management from Glenville State College. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and holds membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Dustin has experience in performing audits of for-profit and non-profit entities, regulatory compliance services and internal audits. Additionally, he has experience preparing individual, non-profit, corporate, and partnership tax returns. He resides in Harrison County with his wife.

Martha Haymaker is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Calhoun Banks which is headquartered in Grantsville, WV. Calhoun Banks is a $130 million dollar banking organization with four regional locations. Martha is a graduate of Calhoun County High School, holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration from Glenville State College and is a graduate of the West Virginia School of Banking as well as the Graduate School of Banking of Colorado. Martha resides in Arnoldsburg with her husband, Hays, and son, Josh. They also have a daughter, Kara who lives in Clarksburg with her husband Brenden Osborne and their two children, Abryanna and Elias.

Samantha Norris has been the Community Outreach Director at Stonewall Resort since 2012. Her primary roles include operating the Resort’s charitable foundation, community based recreational programming, public speaking, grant writing and event planning. She is a graduate from WV Wesleyan where she earned a degree in Public Relations and her Master’s in Business Administration. Samantha is a native of West Virginia and currently resides in Philippi with her husband.

Sandra Pettit has been at Waco Oil & Gas in Glenville since 1984 and is the Office Manager & Accountant. She is a graduate of Glenville State College with a BSBA in Accounting and also holds an MBA from WV Wesleyan College. She is very active in community and campus organizations serving as President of the GSC Foundation, Chair of the Gilmer County Democratic Executive Committee, Treasurer (and Charter Member) of the Gilmer County Women’s Club, and assists with the annual West Virginia Folk Festival. Sandy has also taught several classes for the Department of Business as an Adjunct Professor for many years.

Randy Ratliff has owned and operated Ratliff Insurance in Glenville since 2002 handling auto, home, life, and health policies. He represents many top A-rated Insurance Companies such as Allstate, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, and Aetna. Ratliff Insurance is very active in the Glenville community and at Glenville State and Randy has coached in several youth programs including Little League, Elementary Basketball and High School Golf and has served as the GSC Basketball clock operator for over 10 years. Randy graduated from Glenville State with degrees in Management/Marketing and Environmental Science.

Mark White is the Founder and Owner of Net Communications which started in 1999. Net Communications is a telecom broker consulting for medium to large size business at no cost to the customer. Net Communications is paid directly by the carriers. Mark resides in Newburg, WV with his wife Yolanda. They have three daughters, two living in the Newburg area and one in South Point, OH.

Will White is the Owner and Manager of Seneca Technologies, based in Clarksburg, West Virginia. His company provides software products and research tools and services to energy and land professionals. Research tools include access to proprietary data sets of current and historic information including maps and land information. Software applications assist companies with well management, well accounting, and tracking of equipment and production. Seneca Technologies also provides custom solutions such as mapping and database design.
