Early Education Student Group (EESG)
The Glenville State University Early Education Student Group (EESG) focuses on early education for young children ages preschool to second grade.
EESG is a membership group in which all declared education members are invited to attend, especially those majoring in elementary and early education. The purpose of EESG for its members is to provide opportunities for personal and professional growth, develop leadership skills, understand the history, ethics, and early education programs at the state, regional, and national levels, and participate in early education professional activities at the state and regional levels.
EESG hosts several community events for local students each year which include Trick or Reading, Polar Express Night, and Dr. Seuss Celebration. EESG also visits the local schools and child care centers on a regular basis. A highlight of EESG is attending and presenting workshops at professional development conferences at the state and regional levels including the Southern Early Childhood Association Annual Conferences.
EESG is fully recognized and affiliated with the West Virginia Association for Young Children and the Southern Early Childhood Association.
